I Must Pay Attention!!

Today is one of those days when I’ve been going back, reading and remembering what it is I want from life and the relationships I am in. One thing is for sure, when you listen to people around you who are driven by fear, even though they want the best for you, they will tell you all the reasons why you shouldn’t do something, or what not to do to avoid pain.

I’ve noticed how important it is to stand guard at the door of your mind, so that you only take in the things you know are going to not only give you what you want, but also expand who you are.

I’ve noticed that I am so sick and tired of people consistently focusing and talking about what they don’t want. Even though I understand what’s going on, I notice myself falling into the same trap and getting all cautious and shit. And I am not saying this to blame people; because one thing I’ve learned is that I am 1000% responsible for my state and what I feel. I have to say though; I do get affected.

I guess what I want to say is that everyday we must pay close attention to where our thoughts take us, and instead of just letting them wander to wherever they are pulled, we must direct our thoughts and guide them to where they need to be. Where they need to be is the place where it has you experience more clarity, more joy, love, productivity. What do you think about when you’re happy? When you’re in love? When you’re excited about what’s to come?

If you’re anything like me, you grew up in a world where most people thought that how you feel is something that just happens to you, rather than understanding that how we use our brain; what we focus on, what we believe, the internal and external language patterns we use on a consistent basis, and lastly, if we use an extraordinary or poor physiology is the creator of how we feel.

Of course, to most people these patterns are unconscious, but all that really means is that you haven’t paid attention to them. The really cool thing is…you can start now!!

I am sure many of you reading this right now want to know the details of what is going in my life at this moment in time. And you will…very soon. Until then, let your curiosity get the best of you…
